What You’ll Do As Director, Marketing, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and leading a Marketing team, you will be responsible for a variety of market facing tasks including; the development and implementation of market segmentation and ideal customer profiles, content marketing, brand building, experiential (conferences and sponsorship) vertical market identification and qualifying, value proposition articulation, digital marketing campaigns aligned with target markets, performing market and competitor research and analysis, overseeing content development, and communications and brand stewardship. The successful candidate for this role, will have the opportunity to: Determine ideal target audiences and market segmentation Build the marketing strategy to drive MQL’s and SQL’s via marketing channels, support from marketing teams, external vendors, and nurture the existing database Develop integrated marketing plans to drive measurable growth of new customers Increase Athena Software’s awareness in high value customer segments Collaborate with the Sales team and understand how to support their efforts and drive more opportunities Define digital marketing campaigns for target market segments that supports inbound and outbound lead generation and referral programs Adopt a segmentation mindset to develop strategies to engage customers across numerous verticals Develop campaign ROIs and monitor sales and marketing metrics to align activities to business goals and revenue targets Conduct market research and competitive analysis Generate innovative ideas to promote our brand and our products Ensure brand consistency through all marketing channels Measure and manage KPI’s and reporting related to Marketing activities Use customer feedback to ensure client satisfaction Collaborate with the Product team to align market strategy with product-market fit and product roadmap This position is permanent, full-time, and located in our Waterloo, Ontario headquarters. Who You Are Energetic, motivated, experienced and results-oriented, you are a driven Marketing professional with a minimum 8 years’ experience working intimately with an Enterprise product, preferably with a SaaS business model. You have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field Proven work experience as a Marketing Strategist or Marketing Leader Exceptional leadership skills; ability to coach, mentor, manage direct reports at different levels Demonstrated experience with marketing campaigns, web technologies including social media and content marketing Strong understanding of SaaS business metrics like MRR, Churn, CAC, LTV Passion for understanding Athena Software’s customers Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in client interaction and brand voice, buyer personas and customer journey mapping Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrix environment Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply them in marketing contexts Demonstrated understanding and ability to provide research assistance Data driven and results oriented Organized, focused, disciplined and resourceful Does this sound like you?
